This is how you submit a batch job on the NDT3. You need to make two files. A script file that tells what commands to run and a submit file which tells condor what to do.
First, set the correct permissions for the directory from which you plan to launch your job, and all the directories above it.
In your home directory, type:
fs sa . nd_campus rl fs sa . system:administrators rlidwka fs sa . system:authuser rl
Then, in every directory down to your job launching directory, type:
fs sa . nd_campus rlidwk fs sa . system:administrators rlidwka fs sa . system:authuser rlidwk
Create the submit file called myjob.submit and enter:
universe = vanilla
getenv = True
executable = myjob.sh
output = myjob.stdout
error = myjob.stderr
log = myjob.logfile
Then, make a simple script to run your myjob.sh:
Then change the permission on both files so they can be executed.
chmod 777 myjob.submit
chmod 777 myjob.sh
Finally, submit your job:
All this and more can be found on the ND Elog (http://www.hep.nd.edu/elog/ndt3/).
