Establishing a Connection from Windows



NOTE: The below instructions are still available for reference. However, we now highly recommend using MobaXterm in lieu of Putty/XMing due to a richer feature set and the included SFTP client.




To access the CRC resources you will need to login to one of the headnode machines. From a Windows machine, this is best done by using SSH (a UNIX/Linux tool). CRC provides links to the two Windows based applications that act in conjunction for making SSH connections:
